CTP/Workers Compensation
If you've sustained a workplace or motor vehicle injury, you may be entitled to Exercise Physiology and Remedial Massage services funded by your insurer. These therapies play a crucial role in rehabilitation, pain management, and facilitating a safe return to work or daily activities.
At Fitness & Wellbeing Physiology, we have had plenty of experience with helping our clients return to work as early as possible with full functional capacity and a program that prevents any recurrence of the initial concern.
Understanding Workers Compensation and CTP Insurance
Workers Compensation
Workers Compensation provides support for employees injured during the course of their employment. Each state and territory in Australia has its own regulatory body overseeing these claims:
-
New South Wales (NSW): State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA)
-
Queensland (QLD): WorkCover Queensland
-
Victoria (VIC): WorkSafe Victoria
-
Australian Capital Territory (ACT) & Commonwealth Employees: Comcare
Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Insurance
CTP insurance covers personal injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents. Each state has its own CTP scheme, and entitlements can vary. In NSW, for instance, the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) oversees the CTP scheme.
